Today, December 25 ( Monday ) around 10:00 a.m., a resident was attacked and injured by a wild boar near Tsuhama in the Hagio district.
Residents in the vicinity are asked to refrain from going out on foot, as excited wild boars may be in the vicinity. Also, since wild boars tend to emerge suddenly from forest edges, we ask that you take disaster prevention measures such as taking paths with good visibility as much as possible.
Wild boars have appeared in parts of Futtsu district and almost all areas in Osawa and Amaha districts. Please be careful when going out on foot.
In addition, as a future response, patrols will be conducted in the relevant areas by hunting club members.
[ If you encounter a wild boar ]
(1) Do not approach it and do not provoke it
(2) Back away slowly and calmly without turning your back
(3) Stay out of the boar's sight,
* Please do not try to drive the boar away by throwing things at it, as this is very dangerous. Wild boars are sensitive to moving objects, so be especially careful when walking with your dog.
