Futtsu City】Nankai Trough Earthquake Temporary Information （ Giant Earthquake Warning ） is issued.

Following the August 8, 2024 earthquake in Hyuga-nada, Miyazaki Prefecture, the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) has issued a Nankai Trough Earthquake Temporary Information Notice (Nankai Trough Earthquake Warning).
For the next week or so, the possibility of a large-scale earthquake is considered to be relatively higher than normal in the assumed epicenter area of the Nankai Trough earthquake.
In the event of a major Nankai Trough earthquake, Futtsu City is also expected to be hit by tsunami.

Although it is not necessary to evacuate immediately at present, please prepare for earthquakes by checking how to obtain information on disasters, checking hazard maps, taking measures to prevent furniture from falling over ・ and checking your stockpiles and emergency supplies.
