Wild boars have been seen in some parts of Futtsu district and almost all areas in Osawa and Amaha districts. Recently, there have been sightings of wild boars in the vicinity of Futtsu City Hall, Osawa and Hongo districts, and in the vicinity of mountainous forests.

Please be careful when going out on foot. Although wild boars are not nocturnal, they tend to be active from sunset to early morning when human activities are slow. If you go out on foot, please try to avoid going out during the early morning ・ sunset hours.

Wild boars are sensitive to moving objects. They also tend to attack when provoked. If you encounter a wild boar while walking with your dog, please avoid early morning and dusk and be very careful when walking with your dog, regardless of the time of day, because there is a high risk that the boar will attack when stimulated by your dog.

(1) Do not approach it and do not provoke it
(2) Act slowly and calmly without turning your back
(3) Stay calm and out of the boar's sight Quietly leave the area and run away to a building or high place

*Please do not try to chase them away by throwing things, as it is very dangerous.
